Our Team

Opera Siam is run by a team small enough to fit around one rehearsal-room table. That same team brings fully staged operas, symphonic concerts, Thailand premieres, international tours and a year-round training programme for young artists to audiences in Bangkok and beyond. Each season we put more on stage than many companies several times our size.

We can do this because so many of us are here for love, not pay. A large part of our team are volunteers, and that includes some of the people at the very top. Our Intendant, Director of Development and Casting Director all give their time and expertise to the Bangkok Opera Foundation pro bono. They work beside our artists, staff, crew and supporters because they believe Thailand deserves world-class opera made at home.
