Euroasia Asean Concerto Competition 2026: Grand Finals

Sunday, 8 November 2026
Dr Thaworn Phornprapha Auditorium, Yamaha Music Thailand, Siam Pathumwan Building

To mark 270 years since Mozart’s birth, the Euroasia ASEAN Concerto Competition brings fourteen of the region’s most promising young pianists and violinists to Bangkok for the Grand Finals. Every finalist performs a movement from a Mozart concerto with Siam Sinfonietta, the Bangkok Opera Foundation’s acclaimed youth orchestra. It’s a rare chance for young soloists to work with a professional orchestra and conductor on the international stage.

The finalists come from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. The pianists play Piano Concertos Nos. 17, 21 and 23 under Trisdee na Patalung. The violinists play Violin Concertos Nos. 3 and 5 under Voraprach Wongsathapornpat.

The day ends with a concert and awards ceremony at 17:00, presided over by H.E. Mrs. Katharina Wieser, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Kingdom of Thailand. The first-prize winners in piano and violin then perform their concertos with Siam Sinfonietta.

Presented by the Embassy of Austria, Yamaha Music Thailand, Euroasia Association of Performing Arts, and the Bangkok Opera Foundation.
